We got a lot of shit down this week! After discovering we couldn't just waltz into Terrace we went and finished off Shek'zeer.
Then we went into Terrace and downed the first three bosses!
And finally we went back to Mogu'shan Vaults and took down heroic Gara'jal but you'll have to take my word for it because I took a screenshot with my UI on and it just looks bad. Like these kill shots are usually bad enough without that mess.
With much effort, Deathwing and his madness are finally down!
And all it took was for everyone to show up online at the same time with the right gear on, and a couple days of practice! The hardest part of the Madness encounter was indeed the part where you needed to pry those nasty plates off his back. Oh wait, that was the other encounter that was much harder.
Grats to Ayo on Gurthalak and Graggar for Souldrinker and a new mount! :D
Some of us also completed our metas with the kill, screenshot most likely pending the completion of everyones' =D
So I guess all it took was some competition and a nerf to actually get us trying again, because we are back in the groooooove.
That ball that's been floundering around? It's picked up. It's tossed up. It's in the air and being rolled and juggled all over. In fact it's not just that one ball - we rented out the entire ball pit at Chuck-E-Cheese's. Which is ironic because Zon'ozz wasn't one of the guys we downed tonight.
But we did actually put a few attempts in on Yor'sahj, something we probably should have done months ago instead of changing bosses every week. Yea, he died.
And then we went and downed Hagara, who we actually had practiced before, so that felt good getting that done.
And finally Ultraxion, who we would have gotten without a nerf this week anyway because you can only do so many 2% wipes before you decide to come up with a CD rotation. Or you know, you could come up with one during the kill attempt, that works, too.
Apparently he slipped and fell though, we did some spelunking and got a kill shot anyway.
Leave it to me to take a video of the most boring fight this tier.
As the next patch grows nearer, Reforged is looking for more raiders to fill our 10s progression group. We raid Tues - Thurs from 7 - 11 PM server (CST).
Right now we are looking for a tank that is not a bear.
If you know your class and are good at taking damage like a baws, not getting hit by brushfire, and can interrupt while tanking, feel free to apply!
Last night Reforged downed the last of the achievements needed for the Firelands meta drake bird! And boy, does it look awesome! I should know, I totally got to see mine for over 3 seconds and I assure you, they didn't 9man any of those achievements or anything.
Someone that was online should probably upload a picture 'cause I'm still wiping to the loading screen boss at 100%.
Also, Reforged is looking for a tank. One tank that is not of the DK persuasion, as we have one of those already and healing two would be a nightmare. Must be able to make all raids, hold threat, not stand in fire, work on progression, and be a generally swell guy. Apply now!
Last night Reforged squeezed in one final heroic kill before the imminent nerfs that are expected on the 19th. With great coordination and excessive AoE healing, Majordomo Staghelm is dead. Look at our awesome kill shot!
And fuck Water Shield. Seriously, what the hell Blizzard. Really? Every 4 casts? Really?
What a great week for Reforged! Against all odds, Reforged downed Alysrazor heroic on the first attempt of the night, and I'm not kidding when I say against all odds!
Not only was there someone who was still in an RP set for half the fight (until they died due to having roughly 50% of the HP required to survive the unavoidable bad things) but we had another raider playing from the bathroom of a hotel (and also, oddly enough, wearing the wrong set of gear) who managed to be d/c and miss the achievement.
That's not nearly the best part though. To save us from the inevitable wipe with two players down and ~8% to go, Dragon pulled off some amazing air stunts while the rest of us fought below struggling with interupts and adds. With Graggar picking up both birdies at the end and going down like a champ, followed by Cher pulling off one final clutch cleanse on a stray Fieroblast on Dragon in the air, Dragon took down the last 6% of the boss as the only raider alive for the most impressive wipe ever! Who would have guessed that one of our worst attempts would turn out to be the kill? :D
Here is a screenshot that, while amazing, cannot depict the epic win of the encounter:
In other news: Mars is on fire and Prinny had to check into the burn ward.
Unfortunately we do not have a screenshot of this glorious triumph, as the thought of spreading Torment to the innocents in Orgrimmar seemed much more appealing than standing by that fiery asshole's corpse.
I know, I know, without screenshots it very well may not have happened!
Woo! After a night of treating prism traps like they were a batch of free [Ancient Amber] (And clearing trash twice before even attempting the boss!), Reforged downed Heroic Shannox 10M!
On our first raid night this week we full cleared Firelands and found this awesome box!
But that's not all! The very next day we went to the Throne of the Four Winds and knocked the Winds out of it! Graggnaros claimed [Realm First! Al'akir] with Terokkar's first end-boss heroic kill! A screenshot would be included but it was much less impressive than the box we found in Firelands.
